Fire Warden course
Our Fire Warden courses represent the very best training your staff can expect. We do not view training your staff as Fire Wardens simply as a statutory requirement, but instead see it as a vital link in the prevention, detection and action relating to fire; ultimately safeguarding your employees and preventing unnecessary deaths.
Our fire warden training course has been designed by qualified professionals with over 25 years experience in the NHS and Emergency Services using the most up to date techniques and regulations based on the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and its many amendments.
Course Duration – 1/2 Day (3 hours classroom time)
Regulatory Body – First Aid Industry Body (course not regulated by HSE since 2013)
Location – Customers premises, space permitting (up to 15 delegates)
The Fire Warden course is a 3 hour course which covers:
- the legal framework
- fire safety risk assessment (FRA)
- fire safety measures
- fire action planning (FAP)
- role of the fire warden
- means of fighting fire
- risk reduction principles and
- fire drills (Optional).
Prior to the course, and to allow our trainer to fully prepare, we would require the following information if possible 2 weeks prior to commencement of the course;
Escape plans for each location (this should be part of your Fire Action Plan)
- Fire Extinguishers
- Wall mounted Hose reels (if any)
- Fire Call Points
- Fire Blankets
- Fire Assembly Points
