It has been carefully designed to be used as a “Public Access Defibrillator” or PAD, by minimally trained individuals, the iPAD SP1 semi automatic is suitable for use almost anywhere that people gather, whether it’s within the workplace, a shopping centre or a hospital, the iPAD SP1 makes saving lives easier than ever. Operators can easily switch from Adult to Child mode without changing pads at the flick of a switch, avoiding having to carry (and replace) 2 sets of pads every few years. A safety cover prevents accidental switching in emergency situations, however smaller child pads are also available.
A clever ambient noise detector measures the level of background noise and adjusts the volume of the voice prompts accordingly (up to 90 decibels), making it an ideal unit for noisy environments such as public places, factories, warehouses, schools etc.
There is an integrated pad storage for the electrodes, which are stored, pre-connected, in a clear compartment on the underside of the unit. The pads are easily removed by pulling on the exposed tab.
